Time to refresh your kitchen with some updated light fixtures? Wondering what it would cost?
We asked three of our Skilled Doers what they would quote.
1). Do I have to provide the material?
Yes: to do this, you will need to provide the new lights and the wiring. The amount of wiring you will need depends on the distance between your pot light and the outlet. There are different types of wires to buy, and a #12 Residential W/G Wire is the most commonly used! Yet, it is important to check with your Skilled Doer before purchasing.
2). Where do I put them to space them evenly?
To ensure that the pot lights are spaced evenly for the dimensions of your kitchen, we recommend waiting for the Skilled Doer to aid you with the placement.
2). Anything else I need to know?
Our Skilled Doers mentioned that covering the stain or discolouration which requires patching, often left by the old track light, will not be included in the quotes but can be estimated on site!
3). How much will it cost? Three Skilled Doers quoted on this project.
Skilled Doer A: $190
Skilled Doer B: $462
Skilled Doer C: $519
Pro tip: Often when your quotes are extremely different, it's important to look into why!
What you pay doesn’t always matches the quality of work you get, yet we always recommend that you take the time to look over the Skilled Doer's reviews and expertise before awarding your job!
