Do I need to create a new account?
 

You will need to create a new account on our new and improved platform, yet the process has never been faster! This is to ensure that you familiarize yourself with the new lead-generator: the new and innovative JobJar 2.0! Your existing password/username will not work.  

Once your new account has been created, you’ll need to get verified. Please send us via email your certificate of insurance (min 1M coverage). If you already have a clear background check, we have it, so no need to resend it. If you don’t have it, please send us a copy.

Once verified, you’ll be able to receive leads and quote on them.  💪🏼

What’s the biggest change?
 

It’s what we’ve all been waiting for: the mobile app! You will be able to quote and confirm awarded jobs while on the go. The chat system will send you notifications right to your phone and Homeowners will post and award jobs faster.

Find the new application on the App Store on the day of the launch.

What else has changed? 
 

  • You will be able to view all unawarded jobs, to give you the benefit of getting dibs and browsing the number of potential leads you have!

  • Reviews from both sides. That’s right: you can now review Homeowners after you complete their job! 

  • With more specific categorizations, you will now have more detailed job information for your initial quote. 

  • Forget about email - now you can speak directly to the Homeowner on the built-in chat on our website and mobile app.

Why do I need insurance?
 

We are here to empower your business and get you leads. Having insurance boosts credibility and homeowners are looking for just that! As well as boosting your online reputation, insurance also protects you from any unforeseen risks.


We’ve partnered with Trushield Insurance to help you get free quotes quickly and affordably! You can also choose your preferred insurance company to get insured.

Where did my reviews go?
 

Don't worry: this feature may be under construction right now, but we have all of your reviews in a little vault and they will be added to your profile shortly.

Let's talk GST!
 

You will need to include GST within your quote. Please note that as an independent contractor, GST is charged at your discretion. For more information about this, please refer to CRA.

Has anything changed with the fees or terms and conditions?
 

No, the fee structure and terms and conditions will stay the same! We are still the JobJar you know and love, just new and improved!

Has the chat changed?
 

Our instant messaging platform is now streamlined to make chatting so convenient you won’t want to stop! Homeowners will get notifications on their mobile devices that you reached out or responded. 

What’s new? We’ve made more information mandatory for Homeowners when posting the job, including more details specific to each category. This will ensure that their job descriptions are thorough and include all necessary information. You will no longer need to reach out to Homeowners first! Homeowners will reach out to you first after you quote.

And hey, you will always be able to chat with us!

Can I edit the quote based on the site visit? 

This feature is currently under construction. We know how important this is for you! Bear with us as we work on tightening the nuts and bolts to get this up and running.

Can Homeowners review me?
 

Yes! Once you complete the job, Homeowners will be able to rate you out of 1-5 stars and comment up to 250 characters. Remember: you will now be able to review them as well!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do I need to set up my direct deposit?
 

Yes. Once you get the thumbs up from us, you will be able to set up your direct deposit under your “Account>Payment” tabs. Your security is our priority and we do not keep any sensitive financial information. Therefore, you will have to enter your payment information again. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

Why am I getting invites to jobs outside of my city?
 

We’re working on updating this ASAP. In the meantime, please make sure to double-check the address of the job before sending a quote. Thank you for your patience as we continue to grow and perfect the capabilities of the new platform!

I have a job in progress on the old platform. What's next?
 

Don’t fret: if you are working on a job during the launch of the new app, we will have a secure record of everything. We will send you and the Homeowner an SMS (text) message to confirm that the job is done with the number (403) 536-4007 so you’ll get paid!

Will I be able to access my "old profile" and jobs?
 

You will lose access to your old profile. If you need the receipts, please download them prior to the new release. However, we have all of the information in a secure vault. If you need a receipt from a previous job, reach out to our team with your information and request and we will happily send it over.

What will happen to the jobs I quoted on?

The Homeowners are getting properly notified about our new beginning! We will be encouraging them to award their jobs prior to the launch. 

If they are awarded and the jobs are in progress during the launch, we will send you and the Homeowner an SMS (text) message to confirm that the job is done with the number (403) 536-4007 so you’ll get paid!

If they are not awarded, we will re-create them on the new website and mobile app, but you will need to quote again.

What will happen to the jobs I quoted on?

Do I have to be verified?
 

To quote on jobs, you must be verified. This means having 2 verifiable references, a background check, and proof of insurance (coverage a minimum of 1 million).

We are here to empower your business and our new, revamped JobJar 2.0 has been designed with your life and success in mind. As we adjust to this new renovation, we will continuously be working on building and adding new features to make it even more transformative.
